Experimentation and play are at the heart of my work.
A turning point in my artistic career was taking a therapeutic art course. We learned about focusing on the process instead of the product. As a lifelong perfectionist, this was incredibly freeing for me. I found that letting myself play, helped me to unlock a whole new way of approaching art making. I had previously felt like I needed a solid plan to even start making something. Therapeutic art taught me to dive right in, play, and have fun.
This new framework for art making has changed everything for me, leading to an exploration of art mediums, tools, and methods. I have been particularly drawn to printmaking and abstract acrylic work. I look forward to continuing the exploration and play.

"I try to approach my work with a sense of wonder and experimentation. I enjoy surprising color blends and expressive palettes. I believe play is where the magic happens."
