Photography
Part of my work over the last 20 years has been as a professional photographer. I have worked in a variety of areas including headshots, families, graduation, engagement, product, editorial, and branding. Most recently I have been experimenting with light painting. There is something magical about painting with light in the air and then only seeing the results appear later in the camera. It is an exciting mix of movement, experimentation, and layering. I enjoy light painting while being inspired by music. The work below is some of my recent light painting pieces. The works inspired by music have the accompanying music sourced below.

Color Fan
I enjoy exploring the properties of colored light such as speed, and intermittent exposure. Experimentation with strobed light creates a surprising fan of color. I will always be a color fan.

Taffy lights
I love exploring color, light, and color mixing in my work. By pulling light at different speds you create different intensities of color. Pulling light like taffy creates unique color combinations and surprising results.

Bi-Lateral No. 1
I have always been fascinated by how the brain works. Bilateral art is a therapeutic art technique that engages both sides of the brain by using both hands to create art. Interestingly many bilateral art pieces end up resembling the brain. Many people feel more calm and focused after creating bilateral art. I have found this to be true for me and enjoy the process.
